Crop Circles

Almost like a ski-ramp, the long descent down the 303 to Amesbury reaches an array of fast food stops I’m never really up for – Golden Arches, the Colonel, Pizza HUT, Greggs AND a Toby seems just one or more like a few too many. Besides it’s less than an hour from home sweet home so why would you?  Huge spot though and I always guessed it must serve as some sort of 24/7 transportation hub.  Apparently though the light emissions are very useful for checking if the crop circles have come out ok.  Who knew?

Solstice, not sure it meant so much to me in the urban-living days, though I think for most of my life a 5.45am start at this time of year has been the norm, if not fully comprehending why.  Admittedly my early start last Sunday was down to the quarry rave just outside of Frome – it sounded way closer than that so probably a bit annoying if your house was actually vibrating to the repetitive electronic beat.  Thirteen arrested, kit confiscated, personally all up for the yout to let off some steam whilst they still can – they’ve a lot to inherit after all.

Solstice. Somerset. Glastonbury.  Now you shouldn’t believe everything you’re told at the local Seymour Arms but Glastonbury to some locals only really took hold once the Stonehenge Free Festivals came to a somewhat abrupt and violent halt post the Battle of the Beanfield.  The kids are off there with some of our very seasoned festival going Pod pals, I’ll be enjoying some peace and quiet.
